This course focuses on the development of leadership skills through the participation in a variety of outdoor adventure activities including: ropes courses, team initiatives, an adventure race, whitewater canoeing and expedition and river rescue. An increased amount of responsibility will be shared with students in the planning and facilitation of programs and activities, drawing on their personal strengths and their ability to support others.
The course culminates in a multi-day whitewater canoe trip where students can expect to navigate rapids, prepare a menu, cook at the campsites, plan evening activities around the campfire and support their team mates. This course promises to provide unparalleled life experience to prepare students for their journeys into college, university, or vocational training
