Grade 12 Recreation & Fitness Leadership (PLF4C)

This exciting and challenging course is designed for returning Boundless students to continue building their outdoor adventure and leadership skills. We also welcome new students to enrol in this course to explore this unique outdoor leadership program.

This course focuses on the development of leadership skills through the participation in a variety of outdoor adventure activities including: ropes courses, team initiatives, an adventure race, whitewater canoeing and expedition and river rescue. An increased amount of responsibility will be shared with students in the planning and facilitation of programs and activities, drawing on their personal strengths and their ability to support others.

The course culminates in a multi-day whitewater canoe trip where students can expect to navigate rapids, prepare a menu, cook at the campsites, plan evening activities around the campfire and support their team mates. This course promises to provide unparalleled life experience to prepare students for their journeys into college, university, or vocational training

Prerequisite: Any Grade 11 or 12 open course in health and physical education

This course is a full credit, 110-hour course based on Ministry of Education curriculum. Think of a semester in just 13 days! We consistently have long, fun and exhausting days that involve individual and cooperative work, assessment and evaluation.

Course Tuition: $2300 CAD
Tuition includes:

- Transportation to and from Toronto or to and from Ottawa

- Food

- Accommodation in our wilderness lodge

- All outdoor adventure equipment

- All programs and instruction

- All costs related to obtaining the high school credit

- Communication with the student’s home school guidance department to forward marks and transcripts
