These credits are open to students in grade 9 and 10, and to those students graduating grade 8 in June.
Grade 9 Healthy Active Living Education

Grade 10 Healthy Active Living Education – Outdoor Activities (PAD20)Choose from one of the following sessions:
June 28 to July 10
July 12 to July 24
July 31 to Aug 12
Aug 19 to Aug 31
These courses introduce students to challenging outdoor adventure pursuits and to our team-based approach to learning.
Students will learn and practice skills in flat water and white water paddling; push their personal limits while rock-climbing and negotiating a high ropes course; compete in an adventure race; learn to live comfortably in the wilderness and thrive on team challenges. Students will also participate in various group initiatives designed to develop leadership skills and to hone students’ abilities in decision-making and conflict resolution. The course will culminate with a 5-7 day white water expedition on one of Eastern Canada’s great rivers.
This course is a full credit, 110-hour course based on Ministry of Education curriculum. Think of a semester in just 13 days! We consistently have long and fun days that involve individual and cooperative work, assessment and evaluation.

Reach Ahead Credits
Students graduating grade 8 regularly enrol in our courses. There is a quick and easy procedure involving the parent/guardian, the student’s elementary school principal and our principal to ensure the paperwork involving grade 8 students goes smoothly. Once enrolled we will assist in guiding this process. Please contact us with any questions.
Depending on gender breakdowns, some all-male and all-female cohorts may be created. Please contact us for details.
