Choose from one of the following sessions:
July 1 to July 13
July 15 to July 27
Aug 3 to Aug 15
Aug 22 to Sept 3
The mission of this course is to build leadership and teamwork through participation in exciting outdoor adventures such as whitewater canoeing, ropes courses, intensive team initiatives, adventure racing, wilderness expedition and group living. Our Leadership and Peer Support course can be used towards fulfilling a “Group 1” compulsory credit.
The course is a window for students to identify personal strengths and talents to make greater contributions to others. The central theme of the course is about students supporting each other - considering the needs of the team as being the greatest priority. It is about doing your best and facing challenges - not just fear of the physical challenges but also the demands of being a team member. This course is about discovery - discovery of your talents and dedication to others.
This is a full credit, 110-hour course based on Ministry of Education curriculum. Think of a semester in just 13 days! We consistently have long, fun and exhausting days that involve individual and cooperative work, assessment and evaluation.
