Boundless Outdoor Leadership Development (B.O.L.D)

This course will prepare students for future summer jobs in the wilderness recreation industry and summer camps. Students will emerge with industry standard certifications delivered in some of eastern Ontario’s most inspiring outdoor settings.

This enriched course will draw upon industry standard content and modules adapted from our intensive Boundless teacher training program.

Our returning students are encouraged to participate,as the course will build upon existing skills and experience acquired through previous Boundless courses. Students will have a unique opportunity to further develop their skill levels beyond the expectations of our other summer courses.

The course will embody a more advanced emphasis on "hard skills" such as whitewater canoeing and tripping, river rescue, wilderness survival techniques and risk management.

The students will also focus to a greater degree on the elements of “soft skills”, exploring the dynamics of leadership, communication, and program design and facilitation.

This program will be the only one of its kind this summer, and booking is based on first come first serve. The cost is slightly more - $2,500 – due to the extra expense of issuing industry standard certifications.
